Engage Training Series - Open to students, staff, and faculty!

AppSync is your one-stop campus connector to leadership and involvement opportunities at Appalachian State. Our interactive workshops will help you gain a deeper understanding of the many fantastic tools and features of AppSync, stay up-to-date on campus events, and learn more about resources available for you.

There is a wide variety of training sessions available throughout the academic year that will provide you with the skills to navigate AppSync. As we are just launching our new platform, we are focusing on Engage 101 sessions during Fall 2020.  There are limited spots for all sessions, so make sure to RSVP soon! You can find the dates and times of the training workshops by searching Engage 101 here.

Here are some additional directions to support your use of Engage:

Reserving and Purchasing Card Readers

Reserving Card Readers

Campus Activities has purchased several card readers for student clubs to check-out and use for their events. Card readers provide an easy and efficient way for groups to track participation and attendance at events. The card reader plugs into a computer USB port, and clubs can export the data into an Excel file.

All reservations must be submitted in Engage at least three days before your event by completing the Card Reader Reservation Form in Engage. Card readers can be reserved for 48 hours.

Purchasing Card Readers

Many clubs and organizations have come to love card readers and their use for events, meetings, conferences, auditions, etc. If you are an organization that finds yourself reserving card readers frequently, card readers can be purchased online.

You can purchase an MSR90 Card Swipe Reader here for about $19.00.

If you have questions, please email [email protected] or stop by Club Hub in Plemmons Student Union, Room 219.
